The September PMES School in Brazil was attended by a record
34 students. The school was
co-sponsored by ABTCP, the Pulp and Paper professional organization in Brazil. The class focused on paper machines, motors,
adjustable speed drives, power requirements, and machine automation systems. The school was presented in English with
simultaneous translation into Portuguese.
Due to the great success of the PMES School, another is
being planned in Campinas next year, March 24 to 26, 2009. The class will be expanded to accommodate 45
students, and will again be co-sponsored by ABTCP.
Information on next year’s class will appear on the ABTCP
website, www.abtcp.org/br.
