A Message From The Dean
|
As Dean of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences at Penn State and on behalf of our alumni staff, administration, and GEMS Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to the first issue of our online newsletter, GEMS Update. I hope you are as excited as we are about the ability to communicate and visit with you on your computer desktop! There are always exciting things happening in EMS and at Penn State. We have highlighted just a few of those in this issue and welcome your feedback and contributions to help us spread the news in subsequent issues.
GEMS Update is a subscriber service so please don't forget to enter your information in our easy access "Subscribe" located below in the right hand column to continue receiving the newsletter. Use the "Tell A Friend" button to send this issue to your Eric J. Barron classmates.
For your convenience, we have active links to each of our academic departments as well as to our institutes. Please visit our internal communication vehicle "Dean Files" to learn about the dynamic activity in EMS. Again, I welcome your comments and encourage you to send news and updates, as well as any suggestions for topics for future issues to gems@ems.psu.edu. |
