Richard H. Haupt '51 Metallurgy
Still working at 81 years old/class of '51

I got such a good education in metallurgy at Penn State. I love my vocation as a metallurgist and my colonial Haupt genes keep me more interested in my work today as when I graduated in 1941.

I received my first patent while working on the first USA satellite for Herr von Braun in Baltimore at J.L. Martin Co. Later I was a foundry consultant in Europe for ITT and specialized in permanent molding of brass and grain refining. Twenty-five years went by as a world wide consultant before I knew it.

I would like to hear from my metallurgy 1951 classmates--richardhaupt@mil-eng.com
