Series 90-30 Profibus DP Master Module & Series 90-30 Profibus DP Slave Module

GE Fanuc is pleased to introduce the Series 90-30 Profibus DP Master and Slave Modules - IC693PBM200 and IC693PBS201. These modules provide the Series 90-30 the capability of a PTO certified Profibus DP master & slave.

The IC693PBM200 supports networks up to 125 slaves (the maximum allowed by the Profibus specification) with up to 244 bytes of input and 244 bytes of output for each slave.

The IC693PBS201 allows the Series 90-30 to be a slave on a Profibus DP Fieldbus and to pass 244 bytes of inputs to the Master and receive 244 bytes of outputs from the master  

Features/Description
The IC693PBM200 (IC693PBM201)Profibus DP Master (Slave) module provides the Series 90-30 the capability to be a master (slave) on Profibus DP network(s). The module is PTO certified and conforms to Profibus DIN 19245 Part 1 & 3. The module supports 125 slaves, the maximum number allowed by Profibus. All the Profibus Data Rates from 9K6 to 12Mbaud are supported. Each Slave can have up to 244 bytes of input data and up to 244 bytes of output data. Sync and Freeze modes are supported. Profibus compliant Status LEDs for "SYS"and "COM"are provided.
The following status information is available for the Profibus network and connected slaves:

  • Slave Status Bit Array (IC693PBM200)
  • Slave Status Word (IC693PBM201)
  • Network Diagnostic Counters (IC693PBM200)
  • DP Master Diagnostic Counters (IC693PBM200)
  • Firmware Module Revision (IC693PBM200 & IC693PBM201)
  • Slave Diagnostic Address (IC693PBM200)

A RS232 service port is provided for firmware updates.
 
Compatibility

  • All current models of Series 90-30 CPUs with revision of 8.00 or higher will support the Profibus DP Master (Slave). (IC693PBM200& IC693PBM201)
  • Multiple Profibus DP Master can be used in a Series 90-30 system. The numbers of Profibus Masters in a 90-30 system depends on the size of the configuration and number of data areas used in the slaves. Note: CPU versions lower than 10.60 will impose greater restrictions on capacity. (IC693PBM200)
  • CIMPLICITY Machine Edition Logic Developer Version 3.00 is required to configure the Profibus DP Master(Slave). The Profibus DP Master is not supported by VersaPro and Logicmaster.( IC693PBM200 & IC693PBM201)
  • The Profibus DP Master can go in any I/O slot in a Main Rack, Expansion Rack, or Remote Rack (Note: performance will be decrease in Remote Racks). (IC693PBM200& IC693PBM201)

- Approximately 1365 data areas (sum of input and output data areas) per Series 90-30. (Note: Other modules in a Series 90-30 system also use data areas (Genius, DeviceNet, etc)
Note: System capacities are based on CPU36x memory size and Version 10.60 CPU firmware. CPUs with smaller memory and older versions will have lower system capacities.
