Power Transducer Module
Measure Power Consumption, Monitor Voltages
The Power Transducer Module (PTM) is an intelligent system for measuring electrical power consumption or for monitoring voltages between an electrical generator and power grid. The Series 90-30 PTM is loaded with features that make it easy to measure RMS voltage and current, power, power factor, frequency, energy, and total 3-phase 15-minute power demand. The module has update rates of 1 second.
The system includes a processing module (IC693PTM100 0.5 meter cable or IC693PTM101 1.0 meter interface cable), interface board and interface cable. The module interfaces to the input transformers (current (CTs) and potential (PTs)) monitoring 120VAC power. The PTM has one 3-phase voltage input, one 1-phase voltage input, one 3-phase current input and one single-phase neutral-current input.
The module digitizes the inputs and analyzes them and can be used to calculate generator synchronization and power monitoring data. The data is automatically exchanged with the PLC.
The power measurement configurations supported by the PTM include 3-phase WYE, 3-phase delta, 3 independent phases and 120/240 3-wire connections. Applications of the PTM in Your Industry
- General: Load shedding, power utilization, building automation, energy management
- Power: Generator and power grid synchronization
