New Series of CPU in 90-30 PLC
CPU374: Faster Speeds for Improved Performance

The new CPU374 is the latest hot performing CPU from GE Fanuc

The new CPU374 for the Series 90-30 PLC is the latest fast performing CPU from GE Fanuc. The CPU374 is truly in its own class with greater speed and performance.  The CPU374 has an AMDSC520 processor running at 133 MegaHertz!

Available in May, the new CPU374 (IC693CPU374) features an AMDSC520 processor, running at 133 MegaHertz. In pilot projects, this new fast-performing CPU offered four to five times performance improvements over previous generation CPUs and in certain applications significantly greater improvements.

In addition to high speed processing, the Series 90-30 CPU374 features a built-in Ethernet switch with two 10/100Mbit ports (RJ-45). The two CPU374 Ethernet ports share a single IP address but are auto-sensing for data rate, duplicity, and cable crossover. Furthermore, the new CPU is ideal for bridging a 100Mbs network, like an enterprise monitoring system or controller communication LAN, to a 10Mbs device, such as a local in-cabinet device including the new generation QuickPanel with built-in Ethernet.  The built-in Ethernet switch of the CPU374 eliminates the need for a separate switching device while allowing Ethernet to act as the single, uniform connection to the distinct devices that make up the overall control system.  The CPU374 supports both SRTP and Ethernet Global Data (EGD) protocols.

The CPU374 supports the EZ Program Store device that enables users to perform program and configuration field upgrades without a computer.  The EZ Program Store (IC200ACC003) is designed to make it easy for OEMs to upgrade their customers without costly travel.

The CPU374 has a Boolean execution of 0.15 milliseconds per K and has 240Kbytes of configurable memory and is programmed in RLD, C or StateLogic.  This powerful controller supports up to 4,096 local and remote I/O.  Remote I/O options include Ethernet I/O, Genius, Profibus and DeviceNet.
