Trade In & Trade Up Program
Extended to 31st December, 2002

Series 90™ Trade-Up and Trade In Program Update

These Programs has been extended through December 31, 2002.

Why Trade Up?
Simple, if a customer wants to have more functionality and performance in their existing process, they can trade up their existing CPUs to latest release CPUs, and receive a special credit rebate toward the purchase of a new CPU.

For example customer that has a Series 90-70 CPU771 and needs floating point math can trade up to a high performance CPX772 and receive a credit on the purchase price of the CPX772.

A customer may want to Trade-Up to upgrade their current Series 90-30 Genius Bus Network to
Ethernet TCP/IP. Normally this would require the purchase of new modules and the customer would have to dispose of the used GCM+ modules. This would result in extra cost for the user
and waste. With the Trade-Up program, GE Fanuc will give them a credit for returning the GCM+ modules toward the purchase of the Ethernet modules.

For example: The rebate credit for returning GCM+ is $A dollar, and the normal purchase price for CMM321 is $B dollar, if the customer use this Trade Up program, the customer will be given a credit amount of $A dollar when they return GCM+. So, the customer actual purchase price would $B - $A.

Why Trade In?
The Trade-In program gives your customers the opportunity to upgrade to the latest GE Fanuc technology. It also gives you a tool to replace competitors’ systems with a new GE Fanuc system.

Top reasons for customers to upgrade:
1. Better support for new systems and assured availability of spares and upgrades
2. Superior products – more powerful and more options
3. Easier factory integration and easier networking using Ethernet TCP/IP
4. Substantial savings on system upgrades

For example:
A customer is using GE Fanuc Series Six PLC system in their application. They intend to retrofit their existing system to Series 90-70 PLC due to the product life cycle of Series Six PLC. For this case, the customer can use Trade In program to convert the old hardware to Series 90-70 because GE Fanuc will offer a special pricing to match the new hardware purchased under this program. This would result a cost saving in customer total cost of the project.
