CIMPLICITY®
Software Obsolescence Policy Update
Below is the new GE Fanuc
Policy regarding CIMPLICITY Software Obsolescence. The policies regarding the
Obsolescence of GE Fanuc CIMPLICITY software is differ from GE Fanuc hardware.
The dynamic software environment can create situations that force the software
products obsolete from time to time.
CIMPLICITY Software is sold
with a 90-day warranty and one year, renewable SAFE support contracts are
available. Due to the dynamic nature of our software products, the operating
systems and the hardware platforms that they depend on, GE Fanuc may at its
discretion determine that a product is no longer feasible to offer for sale or
is supportable. At that point in time, GE Fanuc will move the product to an
“Obsolete” status. GE Fanuc will support obsolete products for a period of up
to one year to users under a maintenance contract. Customers with
Obsolete products will be
offered the ability to exchange for a price their software license for an
alternative GE Fanuc Software Product if such a product exists.
