VersaPoint™ I/O Phase 2 is Released

VersaPoint™ I/O Phase 2

The phase 2 release of VersaPoint™ I/O offers higher density discrete input and output capabilities, negative logic discrete, additional analog input and output options, and a high-speed counter input. The new Power and Segment terminals with built-in fusing and diagnostics are added to this release.

With these new-released modules, VersaPoint allows users to specify precisely the amount of I/O required for their application while still enjoying the cost-per-point benefits of a higher density I/O system.

Features / Benefits

VersaPoint I/O now bridges the gap between low-density I/O systems and high-density I/O systems. Based on reduced module overhead, high-density I/O systems traditionally offer lower cost-per-point and better system throughput than low-density systems. Low-density systems have the advantage when I/O mix is varied or point counts are low – their low point count per module reduces spare points and therefore minimizes cost. VersaPoint now gives users the best of both worlds!
