GE Fanuc TechForum 2001 Singapore
GE Fanuc Open Solutions Forum was organized on the 11th May 2001 at Copthorne Harbour View. This event was a tremendous success as a result of the joint efforts of GE Fanuc Automation Asia Pacific and its distributor in Singapore, TDS Technology.
This event attracted some 200 guests, who were interested to learn how GE Fanuc automation solutions, driven by the use of Six Sigma Methodology, could provide the ability to reduce costs and embrace the technology of the Internet through web based open solutions.
The event was jump started by a corporate presentation of GE Fanuc Asia Pacific, followed by an update from the CIMPLICITY Manager, who touched on the topic of Collaborative Internet Manufacturing. Insights were also given into the exciting possibilities of the latest PC Control system and a customer shared his application experience in using a VersaMax PLC product.
At the end of the session, participants walked away with meaningful takeaways and insights into the future of automation, harnessing the use of open solutions.
