New Trade-IN Program
Summary
It has never been easier, faster and cheaper for your customers to upgrade to a new GE Fanuc system. The process is simple. Matching module to module in long, out-of-date spreadsheet is no longer required. Sending the old hardware to GE Fanuc to obtain the credit is no longer required. Just follow a few simple steps and guidelines, dispose of the old hardware, and you are on your way to receive the credit.
In addition to the Series 90™ systems, now you can also trade in for a new VersaMax™ PLC, VersaMax Micro, VersaMax Nano, and OCS system.
Why Trade?
The Trade-IN program gives Series One™, Series One Jr, Series Three™, Series Five™, and Series Six™ users the opportunity to upgrade to the latest GE Fanuc technology. It also gives you a tool to replace competitors systems with a new GE Fanuc system.

Better support for new systems and assured availability of spares
Superior product – more powerful and more options

|
Step 2. Sell the new hardware that replaces the old system. Follow the Trade-IN guidelines |
|
Step 3. Collect the old hardware from customer and dispose of it appropriately. Complete F-04-00-01A.XLS (Form A) and sign. |
|
Step 4. Complete F-04-00-01A.XLS (Form B) listing the new hardware that qualifies for the program and the corresponding rebate. |
|
Step 5. Attach a copy of the customer invoices showing sale of new products with reference to the credit the customer received or will receive. |
|
Step 6. Follow procedure on F-04-00-01A.XLS (Form B) to submit form including F-04-00-01A.XLS (Form A), and customer invoices. All credit requests above $5,000 will require your local GE Fanuc Regional Manager's approval. |
|
Step 7. If all above steps are completed and guidelines below were followed GE Fanuc will issue credit on the hardware included in F-04-00-01A.XLS (Form B). |
Trade-IN Guidelines
Forms F-04-00-01A.XLS (Form A) and F-04-00-01A.XLS (Form B) must be completed electronically. In order to receive the credit the distributor must send both completed forms and customer invoices showing sale of the new hardware.
Customer’s trade-in hardware must be a close match to the new system being sold:
- All key components must be closely match including racks, power supplies, CPUs, I/O modules, communication modules, motion control modules, and display panels.
- I/O count in FORM B must closely match the I/O count in FORM A. Higher density modules may replace lower density ones to reduce cost.
- Accessories, cables, and manuals are sold at a normal multiplier.
- The distributor is responsible for destroying and appropriately disposing of the customer’s trade-in hardware. In the case where the distributor can not appropriately dispose of the hardware, then the distributor must send the hardware to GE Fanuc for disposal.
- From time to time GE Fanuc will ask distributors to send back specific hardware as and when applicable.
- Any major deviations from F-04-00-01A.XLS (Form A) will be sold at the normal multiplier. Any additional items for the upgrade (i.e. extended I/O counts, additional processors, etc.) will be sold at the normal multiplier.
- All credit requests above $5,000 will require your local GE Fanuc Regional Manager's approval.
