The Series Six product line, developed in the early 1980s, has continued to experience life cycle issues driven by the availability of components needed to manufacture it. This situation has recently escalated with some components used in the Series Six product line becoming obsolete and unavailable.

VersaMax High Density Analog I/O Compatibility Update

GE Fanuc has introduced 6 new High Density Analog I/O modules for VersaMax I/O and will be supported in VersaMax NIU firmware release v2.1. The Genius NIU firmware version 2.1 was released in August, but contrary to original plans, did not include support for VersaMax High Density Analogs. Currently these modules are only supported by the VersaMax CPU's and the VersaMax Ethernet NIU.
