GE Fanuc Welcomes New President and CEO
Maryrose Sylvester Named To Head GE Fanuc

On February 2nd, Jeff Immelt, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of GE, announced the appointment of Maryrose Sylvester to President and CEO of GE Fanuc, replacing Jeff Garwood who becomes President and CEO of GE Water and Process Technologies, effective immediately.

Next Generation Manufacturing: Driving Operational Performance through Innovation and Collaboration
GE Fanuc and Nissan Featured at ARC Research's Tenth Annual Forum

GE Fanuc's Tom Cruz, Vice President of Marketing & Services, and Nissan's Greg Daniels, Senior Vice President, U.S. Manufacturing, will be featured as executive speakers at ARC Research's Tenth Annual Forum, February 20-24 in Orlando, Florida. The theme of the conference is "Next Generation Manufacturing: Driving Operational Performance through Innovation and Collaboration."

This is a great opportunity that highlights the longstanding relationship and key successes we share with Nissan. In addition, GE Fanuc's Charlie Gifford, Sr. Solutions Architect - Lean Performance Management, will be speaking on the topic of standards in one of the forum’s tracks.

Two GE Fanuc Products Take Top Honors!
Proficy™ and PACSystems™ Win "Product of the Year" Awards

Last year, Plant Engineering magazine chose several GE Fanuc products as finalists for their Product of the Year Award. We are proud to announce that GE Fanuc has won in the two categories below.

PACSystems™ DSM324i received the Plant Engineering 2005 Product of the Year Award (Silver) in the Electric Motors, Drives & Controls Category.

Proficy™ Change Management received the Plant Engineering 2005 Product of the Year Award (Bronze) in the General & Maintenance Software Category.

These awards were based on receiving the most votes from Plant Engineering's readership and will be presented at a ceremony during National Manufacturing Week, March 20th, in Chicago, IL.

Machine Edition Customers with GlobalCare Will Soon Receive Infolink CD
Beginning in February 2006, when Machine Edition customers renew GlobalCare, they will automatically receive an InfoLink CD.

This CD set is updated at least once a year, usually after a major PLC product release. The current revision will include significant updates to the PACSystems™ RX7i and RX3i document set and to many Motion, OI and I/O product manuals. There are also more newly-scanned Series Six, Series Five, Series Three and Series One PLC archive documents and a "What's New" page.

The order number is IC690CDR002AC.

GE Fanuc and CH2M HILL Work Together on One of the World's Largest Integrated SCADA Systems
HMI/SCADA System Will Process Approximately 500,000 Tags To Meet Singapore’s Wastewater Treatment Needs

GE Fanuc is working with CH2M HILL, a multinational engineering firm and designer of Singapore's Deep Tunnel Sewerage System, on one of the largest integrated SCADA systems in the world. One of the project's first centralized water reclamation facilities, the Changi plant, is configured with approximately 500,000 tags across an architecture of 50 nodes running the newly-announced Proficy™ iFIX 4.0.

Update: Important Change to Warranty
QuickPanel View, QuickPanel Control, QuickPanel and DataPanel Operator Interface Customers

GE Fanuc is pleased to announce that effective immediately, the warranty for all QuickPanel View, QuickPanel Control, QuickPanel, and DataPanel Operator Interface products will have a "replace with new" warranty. This warranty replaces the current "repair only" warranty making it easier for you, our valued customers to get a fast warranty replacement.
