Whedco Expands IMJ Series to Include New Standalone Motion Controller with 480V Drive

Whedco, a subsidiary of GE Fanuc Automation, now offers the new IMJ-31LD servo motor controller, combining an all-digital 480-volt drive (324 to 528-volt ac input), standard DeviceNet™ communications, and motion control capabilities in a standalone, integrated package. The latest addition to GE Fanuc’s Motion Solutions offering, the IMJ Series motion controller’s self-tuning drive also affords increased performance for high-powered applications up to 478 in-lbs stall torque (about 12 HP).

The new VersaMax Micro and Nano PLCs are ideal for
applications requiring low power 12VDC control.
The VersaMax Nano is a palm-sized PLC that is highly
compact, with an all-in-one construction that saves panel space. It can be
easily DIN rail or panel mounted. The VersaMax Nano comes with six 12VDC inputs
and four Relay outputs or 6 12VDC inputs and four 12VDC outputs. The built-in
RS-232 port makes it easy to communicate to a modem or pagers.
The VersaMax Micro comes in six models, 14 point CPU, 28
point CPU and a 23 point CPU with analog I/O. VersaMax Micro PLCs can be
expanded up to 4 expansion units and a total of 140 I/O. Output options are
relay or 12VDC.

Batteries No Longer Shipping with Series 90-30 Power Supplies

GE Fanuc will no longer ship batteries in the Series 90-30 power supplies. We will be shipping the batteries with the CPU bases only. This will take effect May 1, 2001. The power supplies have a yellow tab that states "Battery Not Included" and the IPI describes installation proceedure and where to find the battery. Please note that we will continue to ship a battery with the CPU bases.
