Series 90-30™ and VersaMax™ Low Temperature-Testing Service Availability
by Steve Pavlosky

Got a harsh environment? GE Fanuc has the PLC products you need! New Page 1

GE Fanuc is pleased to announce a new Low Temperature testing service (LT) for its Series 90-30 and VersaMax product lines. This new service offering:

  • Provides LT modules as a direct replacement for Railroad Application (RA) tested Series 90-30 modules
    • Adds new Series 90-30 LT modules
    • Introduces LT modules for VersaMax I/O and Control

What Is LT?

LT is a test service that subjects GE Fanuc products to an additional mechanically static test described below:

LT Test Procedure:

  • Each unit is functionally tested over one temperature cycle from –40°C to +60°C in an environmental test chamber.
  • A (1) hour dwell time is enforced at each temperature extreme.
  • Power is then cycled off for fifteen (15) minutes at each temperature extreme to verify the module’s ability to "start up".
  • Module specifications are not verified during this test

Products that have passed the LT Test procedure described above are then labeled with "LT" at the end of the catalog number (For example, IC693CPU360LT).
