New Light Tower from GE
Adapts to Your Application and Imagination

New Page 2

An exciting and competitive status indication system is now available for OEM and Control Panel builders.  The new Light Towers from GE use light, color and sound to immediately and unmistakably communicate the status of equipment, activities or needs.  These devices are used in most industrial environments -- automotive, textiles, materials handling, machine tools -- where automated equipment must be monitored across a factory floor.

For example, on a Light Tower mounted atop a control panel or automated machine, one light wired to a normally closed contact might signal shutdown.  Another differently colored light, connected to a normally open contact, could indicate normal operation.  Still another, tied to the output of a GE Fanuc PLC, may alert you to the need to replenish materials.

GE's Light Tower works equally well in other applications.  To signal actions or communicate needs.  To point to a potential problem before it forces a costly shutdown.  To protect people, property, and process performance.  The Light Towers are so modular and versatile, you can use your imagination to apply them nearly anywhere!

Features and Benefits:

  • Can be ordered fully assembled from the factory, or purchased as easily assembled components to minimize inventory requirements, reduce costs and speed delivery.

  • Suitable for NEMA Type 1, 3R and 12 applications, Light Towers go where you need them -- indoors or out, in commercial or harsh industrial environments.

  • Not only can you choose the number and sequence of up to five different colored lights in three different diameters (45mm, 56mm, and 85mm) but also flasher and audible options; terminal block or connection leads; panel or conduit mounting.

  • With a variety of available supply voltage specifications, AC and DC versions, global approvals (UL, CSA,CE), you can use Light Towers in equipment destined for applications worldwide.

  • Many additional design features make field configuration and maintenance simple, such as change from steady to flashing by simply moving a small jumper, interchangeable incandescent bulbs and LED clusters, and an audible module which needs no tools to install.
