The CIMPLICITY Machine Edition Logic Developer PLC course will familiarize you with the control logic development tool suite used to program the entire family of GE Fanuc industrial control hardware. Emphasis is given to understanding and operating in the development environment, understanding the available logic development options, generating programs using the ladder logic language option and communicating with control targets. An experienced instructor will guide you with demonstrations and hands-on lab exercises to prepare you to develop control solutions.

This course provides the opportunity for individuals who are or who will be involved in the programming, operation and/or troubleshooting of control systems developed using CIMPLICITY Machine Edition Logic Developer. In addition to teaching students how to develop a basic ladder logic control solution, this course is also a foundation for continued growth with the CIMPLICITY Machine Edition Level 2 family of courses that build on this common development environment.  The course is designed for electrical technicians, electricians, and programmers beginning to work with CIMPLICITY Machine Edition, who will be tasked with developing, modifying and maintaining PLC programs.

The CIMPLICITY HMI Plant Edition Introduction Level 1 course has been upgraded to teach students how to begin developing projects using CIMPLICITY HMI Plant Version 5.0. It is a beginning level course, focusing on the multiple aspects of project configuration. Valuable hands-on lab exercises will be provided which will guide students through the building and modification of an HMI application. After this course, students will be able to create an HMI project and use the CIMPLICITY tools to construct and maintain it.

• Create a new project
• Configure points and view them in a Point Control Panel
• Configure graphic screens
• Create events and actions in the BCE (Basic Control Engine)
• Create log tables to store data
• Create trend charts using runtime and historical data
• Configure project alarms to be viewed in the Alarm Viewer
• Maintain the project by using both project and system utilities
• Configure server/viewer data communication
