Prop. 90: A Serious Threat to New Housing
The League has joined with housing advocates, homebuilders, environmental and business groups throughout the state to oppose Proposition 90, the "taxpayer trap" on the November statewide ballot. (See "Housing Providers/Advocates Opposing Proposition 90.") Prop. 90 sponsors say the initiative is about reforming eminent domain. But Prop. 90 is a radical plan that goes too far and would cost taxpayers billions of dollars each year.

Recent Poll Shows Strengthened Voter Support for Infrastructure Bonds
A mid-August poll by the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) found that 57 percent of 989 likely voters would vote in support of the housing infrastructure bond on the November ballot if the election were held today.

Housing Bond Would Fund City Parks and Infill Housing Infrastructure Projects
Growing voter support for Prop. 1C could mean good news for cities, as the earmarked funds in the housing measure could help cities address a range of housing needs. Of the $2.85 billion the measure would raise, approximately $1.35 billion would specifically help cities with housing-related infrastructure issues:
