Stay Ahead of the Curve with Technology Resource Center
Wireless technology is gathering momentum in education. Dozens of colleges, including Drexel University, Georgia Tech, and SUNY, have set up their first wireless networks, giving students and faculty members who have appropriate hardware the ability to connect to the college network and the Internet from anywhere on campus. D-Link, Linksys, and others have a
full range of wireless technology products
to keep you on the cutting-edge. For questions on ordering and product information, contact your TRC dedicated account representative Tim Lilly by phone at 800-517-2320 ext. 207, or by email at timlilly@gotrc.com.

Microsoft Support for Meeting “No Child Left Behind” Requirements
The federal “No Child Left
Behind” act places substantial new requirements on K-12 educators, schools, and
districts to track and report numerous educational performance metrics, manage
curricula, and demonstrate annual improvement in student achievement. In
Oklahoma, for example, 10 school districts are using a solution that enables
them to meet these legislative demands: Intel's Managed Learning System,
powered by the Microsoft Accountability and Assessment.

To assist in achieving the
goals of the NCLB act, Microsoft has created a free online tool to help districts identify opportunities and
available resources. Select a goal and then create your customized summary to
see what solutions are available to help you address NCLB. http://www.microsoft.com/education/?ID=NCLBSolutions
