$6.75 Million GIS Grant Program for K-12 Schools
Davis Demographics & Planning, Inc. and Education Planning Solutions, Inc., with support from ESRI, Inc. have teamed up to offer nearly $7 million in new grants designed to foster and support geographic information system (GIS) mapping applications in public schools. "The K-12 Public School District GIS Grant Program is offering 250 grants for software, training, and other materials to assist districts in their planning efforts,” said Greg Davis, President of Davis Demographics & Planning, Inc., developer of the SchoolSite™ extensions for ArcView GIS®. Grants are available to any school district nationwide (U.S.), and will be accepted from April 15 through December 15, 2003.
