OmniUpdate Solutions For Web Content Management
New to collegebuys.org

Early this year OmniUpdate announced their suite of e-Education solutions for faculty, staff, and students, and now schools nationwide are using OmniUpdate. The demand for OmniUpdate Web Content Management technology from higher education institutions such as California State University Long Beach and Copper Mountain Community College led to the development of OU Educate, OU Campus, and OU Student.

“OmniUpdate has been phenomenally successful, and our dean is happy everyone is using it! With the statewide budget cuts, this is the one thing we know we want for next year. We can never go back to not having OmniUpdate,” says technology strategist Jill Horn, of California State University Long Beach.

OmniUpdate e-Education solutions are designed to help higher educational institutions maintain better web sites and give educators and students the tools they need to teach and learn. Each solution is specifically designed for its users and focuses on enhancing their web communication needs.

The solutions empower faculty and staff to easily edit copy, insert images, and create new web pages without html or programming--all in a controlled environment.  The familiar toolbar allows authorized users to maintain their respective web pages with only minimal training and help improve compliance with ADA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. The WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) interface is instantly accessible 24/7 through an Internet browser and enables editing across all platforms: Windows, Macintosh, Internet Explorer, and Netscape.

OmniUpdate solutions work with your existing web sites without modification or re-engineering, and are compatible with existing systems such as Dreamweaver, FrontPage, Blackboard, and WebCT.

Suite of e-Education solutions for faculty, staff, and students

OU Campus:
OU Campus enables staff in each department to quickly create, update, and maintain web pages to deliver the valued web communications that are demanded by the campus community. Even non-technical staff can easily update web pages to keep departmental web sites current and save hours of IT staff time. Robust approval features, designated controls and templates maintain campus standards and consistency.

OU Educate:
OU Educate provides faculty with the freedom to easily create personalized web content to facilitate and advance their academic mission. As a stand-alone solution, or as a supplement to existing course management systems, OU Educate will improve teacher-student communication and provide better classroom support by enabling faculty to create and maintain their own web pages.

OU Student:
OU Student allows each and every student to create and maintain web pages without additional student expense or burden to your IT department. Personal web pages can enhance each student's college experience and promote student use of technology. Schools increase their visibility and students improve their marketability to prospective employers.
