The Chicago Auto Show Ends & Obama’s Stimulus Package
by Rob Paddor

The Chicago Auto Show ended yesterday. Attendance figures have not been announced, but I’m sure it was down. GM, Ford and Chrysler are still begging for more stimulus money and damage control is underway for the Big 3.

What Grade Do You Give Your Engine?
By the way, this is no “knock-knock” joke!

You pull up to the pump and usually have three choices: Regular, Mid-grade and Premium. Are these grades the equivalent of “good, better and best?” Have you ever been tempted to give your car a “treat” and upgrade? Do you really have to feed your high performance car that outrageously priced Premium grade?

Take a Time-Out for Breakfast
This winter, warm up to delicious and healthy breakfast treats.

Before you run out the door, take the time to stop and smell the coffee. In fact, why don’t you sit down and enjoy a healthy breakfast? It seems that we’re always on the go, even when we have nowhere to go, and as a result, the most important meal of the day is often forgotten.

Changing Your Home’s Motif and Mood This Winter
Inexpensive, simple ways to turn your breezy summer cottage into a cozy winter lodge.

Since no two seasons are identical, your home shouldn’t look the same from one solstice or equinox to the next either. Feng Shui, Chinese for “Wind and Water,” is the science of balancing elements, both physically and spiritually.

The 2009 Subaru Outback
Built for the long haul.

The 2009 Subaru Outback may fit somewhere in between the mid-size wagon and crossover SUV segments, but it clearly makes its mark as a zesty, stylish vehicle with impressive handling and performance. This mid-size wagon has all of the comfort, performance and even the ground clearance of an SUV. The Subaru Outback is refined, sporty and fun to drive, and it's even better for 2009.

The 2009 Subaru Tribeca Is Tough and Safe
It's worth giving this perfect SUV package a try.

The Subaru Tribeca received its overhaul in 2008 and therefore features few changes for 2009. Last year, the Tribeca was awarded a complete style makeover and an increase in power. The Tribeca may have also lost the "B9" in its name, but this year, its minor enhancements make it perfection in an SUV package.

Take Skiing to the Next Level
Why take a chairlift when you can helicopter to the top of a mountain?

Crowded mountains. The same trails. This year, instead of hitting your local slopes, why not take your skiing or boarding to the next level? And when we say next level, we mean soaring above mountains. It’s time to take your skiing to a new level – something that will leave you exhilarated and wanting more. It’s time for you to experience heli-skiing.

Do You Really Need to Break in a New Car?
It’s a common question with one answer and a lot of opinions.

First, let’s stress that the owner’s manual for your car is the authoritative guide to any break-in procedures. Almost all manufacturers have recommendations in these handbooks. That being said, engine break-in is subject to opinion, just as are oil change intervals and tire pressures.

Walking in Winter
Warm up this winter by walking and looking forward to spring.

There are plenty of excuses to skip your workout and do, well, nothing. However, it’s February. Before you know it, you’ll be by the pool or heading to the beach. In the meantime, get yourself in shape and looking – and feeling – better with some outdoor walking.
