Due to the efforts of Dr. Kearney arrangements have been made to start our three month trial of the TRA Newsletter. In addition, Gary produced the layout of the letter and thanks to his generosity this three month trial period will be at no cost to the TRA. Before the end of the trial period, the Executive Committee will have an opportunity to decide whether we should continue the newsletter.
This first letter has been sent only to Executive Committee members as a trial run. Its purpose is to give you an idea of what it will look like and to determine if it was received in good shape. It does not include many of the features the complete letter will contain. The ultimate purpose of the letter will be to communicate both with select groups such as Trustees, the Advisory Board, and Committees and ultimately with all of our 2,000 members who have given us their e-mail address. Currently we have e-mail addresses for over 50% of our members. In addition, TRA Chapters could also use the newsletter to send their own announcements and news to their members. Included in this letter is a copy of the revised by-laws to give you an idea how this would look. Our intent is to send the revised by-laws to the Trustees, prior to the Annual Meeting for their review.
As long as I have your attention, I thought you would be interested in the Board Meeting schedule at the Annual Meeting. If there is any change in this schedule you will be advised.
