Position: Executive Director
Organization: After-School All-Stars Columbus
Location: Columbus, OH
After-School All-Stars (ASAS) is a leading national after-school program provider. Our comprehensive school-based programs combine activities and learning to help build the knowledge and skills children need to succeed, both in school and in life. Our programs focus on middle school students attending schools where the majority of students come from low income families. Founded as a national organization by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1992, ASAS is building a national model for after-school program delivery through our 13 Chapters, all of which serve at-risk youth in major U.S. cities. ASAS Columbus has been serving low income, inner city youth in the city of Columbus for the past eight years. Beginning in September 2008, the ASAS Columbus comprehensive after-school program will be revitalized to include homework support, a variety of engaging enrichment activities, and physical fitness opportunities. ASAS Columbus will partner with three designated Columbus area middle school program sites in 2008 with plans to serve many more locations in the future.
ASAS is currently seeking candidates for the Executive Director position of the Columbus Chapter. General responsibilities include overall organizational management and leadership, fundraising, promotion of the organization within the community, and the development and monitoring of this Chapter's programs.

How to Check Your Website on Different Browsers
Tips from Wild Apricot's Nonprofit Technology Blog
http://www.wildapricot.com/blogs/newsblog/archive/...
by Rebecca Leaman
Cross-browser compatibility has long been a frustration for website designers. What looks fine in one browser may be more or less “broken” in another, with sidebars shifted and elements overlapping... Yes.
Browser compatibility is about much more than a pretty presentation, although the importance of a professional-looking design should not be downplayed. Sometimes, the effects of how different browsers interpret the code for a web page are so pronounced that your website can be difficult to navigate for users of one browser or another. It can become less inviting, if not downright unusable, for a whole section of your potential audience.

Shiny Objects Vs. Solid Investments
www.charitydynamics.com
by Abby Sandlin, Charity Dynamics
At this year’s NTEN conference in New Orleans, I spoke to a packed room of a hundred or so nonprofit managers eager to harness the power of Web 2.0 for their organization. Web 2.0 refers to a new generation of web-based communities and hosted services such as social networking sites and blogs that facilitate sharing and collaboration between users.
There’s a lot of buzz about Web 2.0 tools and how they are revolutionizing the nonprofit industry, but are they just the latest shiny objects to have caught our attention? Or are they actually worth investing time and money into? The answer is yes, of course—in both cases. Allow me to explain.
