Sports for Social Change Network Workshop Launches In Nairobi Kenya
ePhilanthropy President, Ted Hart, Featured Presenter
http://www.sportanddev.org/en/index.htm

The ePhilanthropy Foundation wishes all those attending the 2007 Sport for Social Change Network (SSCN) workshop in Nairobi Kenya, great success in the launch of this important global initiative. ePhilanthropy Foundation President and CEO, Ted Hart, is a featured presenter at this workshop sponsored by NIKE, USAID, and PEPFAR. CARE USA is the organizer of the network workshop that launches a four-year global initiative using sports for social change.

The SSCN will initially develop a network of organizations in the E. Africa region that are using sports as a tool for development to foster sharing and documentation of best practices.

Capacity building of partners is a main objective of the SSCN. To meet this objective, the workshop will incorporate several specific sessions from global leaders in the sector such as ePhilanthropy.org.

In addition, each day will feature a “Marketplace” which will give everyone a chance to showcase their organization while allowing others to ‘shop’ for help they need and identify partners with whom to collaborate. The workshop will run from February 7-10, 2007 in Nairobi.

To the successful business executive who wants to lead a non-profit ...
ePhilanthropy Job Bank
http://www.ephilanthropy.org/jobbank

Sometimes hiring professionals act as if the for-profit world and the non-profit world have nothing in common.  Instead of focusing on skills/qualities common to both domains -- strategic planning, fundraising/budgeting, communications, relationship building, outreach, education/training -- they discount likely candidates because of their business background.
