In a survey that provides significant insight for charities into the use of the Internet by families, it was found that 84 percent of mothers said the Internet would be the hardest medium to give up. The study finds moms use the Internet 13.2 hours per week, double that of television at 7.6 hours. Eighty six percent place it ahead of TV and newspapers as an information resource, 63 percent use it to seek entertainment and 43 percent use it to engage in activity with their kids.

How Nonprofits Use the Internet to Get Ahead
ePhilanthropy Foundation Speaks at Harvard Business School
http://workingknowledge.hbs.edu/pubitem....
by Martha Lagace, Senior Editor, HBS Working Knowledge

The Internet can be a fantastic tool for fundraising and for engaging your constituents, but it needs to be powered by a smart strategy.
