Cisco Launches A New Volunteer Matching (Service Grant) System
System Matches Individuals and Teams to Philanthropic Opportunities
http://cisco.cybergrants.com/sgrquiz

Cisco announces the launch of a new Volunteer Matching (Service Grant) System. As an Internet company, Cisco reports it is excited to be leveraging online technology to bring community-volunteering opportunities to nonprofits and our employees in an accessible, web-based application.

This new volunteer matching system matches individual employees and employee teams to philanthropic opportunities in their community. In addition, it will also match the core competency skills of Cisco employees with nonprofit organizations that are seeking that expertise.

To register your organization in our Service Grant System:

Once you're in the application, you may request Cisco volunteers for your specific initiative(s).  (If an appropriate volunteer is matched at some point, you will be notified by email with instructions on how to proceed). One-time events are welcome as well as on-going opportunities. Cisco hopes this system will give organizations access to more volunteers and will save time in recruiting, tracking, managing and communicating with those volunteers.

This system is currently available in the U.S.  The International launch will be announced later this year.
