President and Chief Executive Officer

Network for Good (www.networkforgood.org) is the Internet's leading charitable resource — an e-philanthropy site where individuals can donate, volunteer and speak out on the issues they care about. The organization's goal is to connect people to charities via the Internet — using the virtual world to deliver real resources to nonprofits and communities.

Founded in 2001 by the AOL Time Warner Foundation and AOL, Inc.; the Cisco Foundation and Cisco Systems, Inc.; and Yahoo! Inc., Network for Good is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Washington D.C with a satellite office in San Francisco.

In addition to connecting the public with opportunities to give, Network for Good works to advance nonprofit adoption of the Internet as a tool for fundraising, volunteer recruitment and community engagement. With a $3 million annual budget, Network For Good is playing a critical role in defining and driving ephilanthropy.  In order to meet this immense challenge, the Network For Good Board of Directors seeks a new leader who can position and focus the organization’s strategy as it continues to be the leader in ephilanthropy.

Reporting to the 5-member Board of Directors, the President and Chief Executive Officer has overall responsibility for the strategic, programmatic, financial, and management operations of the organization.  The President is the leader in communicating the strategy and program objectives to internal and external constituencies, and works collaboratively with the Board in developing strategy, raising funds and achieving mutually defined program objectives.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated capacity for leadership through vision, communication, inspiration, and action.  He/she will be an experienced leader from the nonprofit, business, or public sectors and will have a track record of accomplishment, credibility, and recognition in leadership roles.  The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong sense of direction and a deep commitment to and passion for the nonprofit and philanthropic community as a whole.

The compensation for this opportunity has been designed to attract a leader of significant accomplishment.

Qualified candidates should send resume to NFGHR@aol.com or Vanessa Robinson, NFG CEO Position, 22000 AOL Way, Dulles, VA 20166
