Charity Watch Groups Endorse Code of Ethics
American Institute of Philanthropy and Charity Navigator Endorse ePhilanthropy Code of Ethics
http://www.ephilanthropyfoundation.org/e...
Endorsement message from Daniel Borochoff, President, American Institute of Philanthropy:
American Institute of Philanthropy (www.charitywatch.org) is a nationally prominent charity watchdog service dedicated to helping donors make informed giving decisions. AIP believes efficiency, accountability and governance of nonprofit organizations are important goals to be reviewed by donors and focused upon by charities. AIP applauds the work of the ePhilanthropy Foundation (http://ePhilanthropy.org) and the creation of the ePhilanthropy Code of Ethical Online Philanthropic Practices.
AIP in its July 2002 edition of the Charity Rating Guide and Watchdog Report endorses this code and urges its members and all charities to adhere to the good practices and principles of the code and thereby help foster the effective, ethical and safe use of the Internet for Philanthropic purposes.
Endorsement message from Trent Stamp, Executive Director, Charity Navigator:
Charity Navigator (www.charitynavigator.org) works to advance a more efficient philanthropic marketplace, in which givers have all of the information they need to make informed giving decisions. We believe givers have strong rights and should be respected and treated like the investors that they are. That is why we are proud to endorse the ePhilanthropy Code of Ethical Online Philanthropic Practices issued by the ePhilanthropy Foundation (www.ePhilanthropy.org) for Non-Profit Organizations. Organizations that adhere to this code have made a commitment to their donors to act in a manner which promotes trust, honesty, and respect between the donor and the organization.
