The Single Most Effective Communication Tool Ever?
by Kimball PateE-mail! Nothing else comes close. Can you think of a way to reach someone on the other side of the world in seconds, 24 hours a day, and do it for pennies? Nothing I know has ever come close to e-mail.
E-mail is the greatest equalizer of high mailing cost in big business today. It holds every online marketing aspect together and does it with ease.
Many of the pros thought that the WWW would be the biggest advantage of the internet. Believe me, it cannot touch the power and ease of e-mail.
Do you get "snail" mail? We all do. Many of us toss it in file 13, but about 2% of that so called "junk mail" is answered. People respond with real money! Now isten to this: e-mail gets about an 8% response. I am not a math wizard, but I can do the numbers. And best of all, it's done for pennies. No envelopes, no stamps, no secretary or a machine to get it ready to go.
If you have ever ordered anything over the net, or left your e-mail address with a company, then you are probably going to get an e-mail tailored to your taste.
This differs from "spam", which is usually junk mail. Companies can now use sophisticated data-mining techniques which can target a person's interest. Big brother knows what we like and what we dislike.
Amazon.com has 2.2 million e-mail customers of which 60% are repeaters and it is up at least 20% from last year. Bet they know the power of e-mail. There are now programs available which can mail the same message to thousands, all at the same time and with ease. If you wish to do so, check out Eudora Pro at http://www.eudora.com and see for yourself.
Millions are being made on the web, and soon it will be billions. Much of it by e-mail.
The best book I have ever read on the subject is called "Insider Internet Marketing". It is easy to understand and also inexpensive. Go here and check it out for yourself. http://www.bizweb2000.com/d3804.htm. If you are serious about making money on the web with e-mail, you must read this book!
I am Kimball Pate, a retired teacher/coach and I live in rural south Alabama. It is not difficult to describe myself. I am a normal, or close to normal 58 years young male who attempts to look at the humorous side of situations and write about same.
My plate is somewhat full in that I care for my parents full-time due to their physical problems but enjoy being able to do what I can. It is my turn.
