Gateway Olympic Sponsorship PC Donation Program

Gateway will donate up to 4,500 of the computers used to power the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. These desktops, portables, and servers were supplied to the Salt Lake Organizing Committee to track official event results, statistics, and standings for athletes, coaches, spectators, officials, and the media.
Objectives

Since 1994, Gateway has supported hundreds of nonprofit entities through cash, product, and in-kind donations. There are countless groups and organizations in need of assistance, and we recognize that we cannot meet every need. Therefore, we choose to focus our activities and resources on those areas in which we can make a significant impact. Specifically, we seek to accomplish the following objectives:

• Support projects, programs, and initiatives that align with our mission to enhance access to technology for traditionally underserved communities;
• Create a positive recognition and image of Gateway in the communities in which we conduct business;
• Improve the quality of life in the communities in which Gateway has a significant employee presence or a critical business interest; and
• Promote and stimulate volunteerism and active community involvement by Gateway employees.
