While many corporations give generously in terms of products and employee time--Microsoft, for instance, gave away $179 million in software last year--the real cost of donated time, products and services is debatable. But there is no arguing the value of cash-giving.

Rating Charities

What Do You Think Of The Growing Trend Toward Rating Charities?

This is a great idea and will help many donors.

Not a bad idea but difficult to do fairly.

Not a bad idea but none of these groups do a good job rating charities.

These rating services are arbitrary and do more harm than good.

This is a very bad idea.
