E-Marketing Tools: Finding an Opt-In Email List

The EmailResults.com Marketers' Market provides two important tools to help you find opt-in email list rentals:

  • A categorized directory of email marketing lists and services
  • An RFP (request for proposal) submission service

Finding email lists through the categorized directory

EmailResults.com does not provide any email lists itself. However, our directory can put you in touch with hundreds of providers of opt-in lists and newsletter ad space, email marketing consultants, technology suppliers, and other companies. To search this directory, go to the front page of the Marketers' Market at:

http://market.emailresults.com

Partway down the page, you'll see a heading, Browse Companies by Category. Beneath that heading, you'll see a number of main categories, such as Email Lists, Email Deployment, and Email Publishing. You can click on any of those main categories or any of the subcategories listed under them.

Once you get down into a subcategory, you'll be able to browse listings of companies who provide various kinds of email lists and marketing services. From the subcategory listings, you can contact suppliers by telephone, through their Web sites, or by sending them an email message directly through the EmailResults.com site.

Sending out an RFP (request for proposal)

"RFP" is a standard business term for a document that is sent to a company asking them to provide information about their services, including pricing. On the EmailResults.com Marketers' Market, you can fill out one RFP form and have it sent out to dozens of email list providers at once.

To fill out an RFP form, go to the front page of the Marketers' Market at:

http://market.emailresults.com

Click to find lists

If you already have an EmailResults.com account, you can log in with your username and password in the left-hand column. If you don't have an account, you can simply click on one of the main links in the middle of the page near the top, such as "Find opt-in email lists." This will take you directly to an RFP form, which you can fill out to let the list suppliers know what kind of email list services you're looking for. During the process of filling out the online forms, you will be able to choose a username and password to create an EmailResults.com account. Make a record of this login information, which will make it easier for you to use the site in the future.

RFP form

When filling out the form, be as thorough as possible. Email list suppliers will be especially interested in knowing what product or offer you want to advertise and what target market you are trying to reach. It will also be helpful if you can give an estimate of your anticipated budget. Keep in mind that email advertising is not necessarily cheap and email list providers usually have minimum orders (for example, many have a minimum order of $1,000).

These are the basic ways you can make use of the EmailResults.com Web site to find a provider of opt-in email lists. If you have further questions, please get in touch with us at talkback@emailresults.com.
