Yosemite’s Bracebridge Dinner
Dates: December 15 – December 26, 8 A.M. to 10 P.M.
Location: The Ahwahnee, 1 Ahwahnee Road, Yosemite National Park
The Bracebridge Dinner has been transforming the Ahwahnee into a 17th century English manor since 1927. Washington Irving’s Sketch Book that described Squire Bracebridge and English Christmas traditions of that period inspired this ceremony. The Bracebridge Dinner is a four-hour event that features classic carols, Renaissance rituals and entertainment right out of the Middle Ages. More than 100 players bring the Squire, his family, their servants, the Lord of Misrule, minstrels and others to life. The Ahwahnee Dining Room doubles as the Great Hall, and it comes alive with a beautiful table, wreaths and decorations. Not only will you be amazed at what you’ll see, you’ll be amazed at what you taste during the seven-course meal!
