For most people a new car is the second biggest financial investment they make after a house. Getting the most out of that investment means taking care of that car with regular maintenance and Scion makes that easier than ever thanks to the Service Boost program.
Scion Service Boost provides buyers of new 2009 to 2011 model year Scions with free recommended maintenance and roadside assistance for two years or 25,000 miles in addition to the two free service visits (at 5,000 and 10,000 miles) previously offered. If you bought a 2009 or 2010 Scion after June 2, 2010, or a 2011 or later model-year Scion after October 1, 2010, your vehicle came with Scion Service Boost.
With gas prices on the rise, keeping a car in top running order not only helps to extend the car's lifespan, it can also extend the time between visits to the pump.
Scion has always recommended routine maintenance every 5,000 miles, or every six months (whichever comes first) for an array of items to get a thorough examination. At each of those intervals, the tires get rotated in order to balance out the wear for maximum tread life.
The factory trained technicians at every Scion dealership then verify and check all of the fluid levels and top off the fluid reservoirs to insure that the engine has sufficient coolant and oil, and the driver has enough brake fluid to stop, power steering fluid for changing directions and windshield washer fluid for visibility under all conditions.
The brake pads and discs/linings and drums also get inspected to make sure the car can stop safely. Inside the car, the technicians will also verify the proper installation of the the drivers side floor mat.
For drivers that live or regularly drive on dirt or dusty roads, the technicians will also get under the car to verify the condition of suspension components like the ball joints, steering linkage, drive shaft boots and dust covers. Under these conditions, the oil and filter also get replaced to protect the moving parts inside the engine while drivers in more typical conditions can go 10,000 miles between changes.
Scion Service Boost also includes Complimentary Roadside Assistance for up to two-years from the date of your car’s first use. All of this service is provided to customers by Scion dealers at no additional cost using genuine Scion parts. Customers will also receive reminders when they are due to come in for service.
Even with all maintenance taken care of, bad things can still happen on the open road that leave you stranded. Tires can go flat, tanks can run out of fuel, belts can break, batteries can die when lights are left on, keys get locked in the car and other unanticipated maladies can occur. When that happens, drivers can just call upon Scion roadside assistance to come to the rescue.
In addition to the complimentary two years of Scion Service Boost, customers can also opt to extend the coverage for up to five years or 75,000 miles. Scion offers a number of Service Boost Plus plans, and your Scion service department can provide all of the details.
Scion Service Boost helps customers keep their cars in tip-top shape for the long haul.
