>The Perricone Prescription Reaches #1 on New York Times Bestseller List
>Dr. Perricone Receives Whitney Award

by Anne Sellaro, Executive Editor

On August 6, 2002 Harper Collins released Dr. Perricone’s new book, The Perricone Prescription. We were fortunate to kick off the event with a wonderful segment on "The Today Show." Matt Lauer hosted the appearance and we are still getting letters and emails from viewers nationwide. By August 25 the book landed at the # 1 spot on the New York Times bestseller list. As we write this newsletter, our publisher Harper Collins had more than 430,000 copies in print.

September brought a new honor to Dr. Perricone when he became the recipient of the 2001 Eli Whitney Award. This award is presented by The Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association to "an outstanding individual who has made significant contributions to science, invention, and technology." Dr. Perricone has dedicated more than two decades to his research and holds dozens of international patents based on his scientific discoveries. The Eli Whitney Award is a tremendous recognition of and tribute to Dr. Perricone’s innovative and ever-growing body of work.

On behalf of Dr. Perricone, we would like to extend a special "thank you" to all of our readers and friends for making The Perricone Prescription such a resounding success.

Until next time,

Anne Sellaro
