Paul, Hastings, Janofsky and Walker, LLP (Paul Hastings) has a global law practice consisting of more than 800 lawyers in 11 offices worldwide. They have been a PCC Network Solutions client since 2002. When Paul Hastings moved into the prominent building formerly known as the Arco Tower in downtown Los Angeles, they selected PCC Network Solutions to provide the network infrastructure capable of supporting more than 500 employees. The firm was to occupy 209,000 square feet of office space in the newly christened Paul Hastings Tower and needed a solution that would support voice/data communications between each of their offices and their clients, providing increased network performance, availability and robustness.
The firm also wanted a solution that would integrate with their existing network; be scalable for future growth; maintain network integrity and security; provide a high return on investment (ROI); and support all general office and proprietary applications. The firm also challenged PCC Network Solutions with an extremely compressed schedule — just three months from design to completion.
PCC Network Solutions designed, procured and installed the IBDN System 4800LX Gigabit cabling system by NORDX/CDT coupled with a 10Gb fiber optic backbone for the core network. The end-to-end system including the data center build-out, delivered more than 2300 voice/data connections for the firm. PCC Network Solutions was able to meet the tight deadlines by managing the project’s day-to-day activities, deploying multiple crews and through close coordination with all construction trades involved in the project. We delivered the solution on time, on budget, and the result was a happy customer.
