To choose the correct duplication system you should first answer the following questions:
How many discs do you want to make at a time? Do you have large batches or small batches? Select systems with 50, 150, 400 or 800 disc capacity.
How quickly do you need to get the job done? Select performance of 20 discs/hr, 40 discs/hr or over 80 discs/hr.
Do you have many different batches that you would like to duplicate at one time?Select the Orbit Pro or Rimage Desktop Publisher system that can handle multiple batches, and allow you to mix masters and blanks.
Do you want to print labels on the discs?Select the Rimage Desktop Publisher system or Mediatechnics IP6240PT-4 with a built-in printer.
Do you want a thermal transfer or ink-jet printer?Thermal printers provide a permanent image, but are not the best for color photos. They are better for spot color images. Ink-jet printers are excellent for color photos, but the print can smear if it gets wet. The image can be made more permanent by spraying the disc with a clear spray.
Do you want a standalone duplication system or one that connects to a computer? Do you want to share the duplication system on the network?Select a standalone duplication system like the ones from Microboards or Mediatechnics or a very high performance Producer Prostar. If you would like a computer-attached duplication system consider the Primera system, or the Rimage system that allows you to duplicate from any workstation on your network.
Do you want to duplicate CD or DVD discs?Select a duplication system with CD-Recorders or DVD Recorders.
