Best Integrated Online and Offline ePhilanthropy Campaign (presented by GetActive Software): Greenpeace International
The “No Whaling Virtual March” was a global scale campaign, led by Greenpeace International that innovatively mobilized more than sixty-one thousand (61,000) people from one-hundred and fifty-two (152) countries in thirty-three (33) days. The objective of the campaign was to protest against the South Korean government’s intention to re-open commercial whaling. The international pressure was successful and the South Korean government did not resume commercial whaling. Every activist had the opportunity to be in South Korea no matter where they lived. This Virtual March created an online and offline community that came together around the same ethical cause.

Best Online Donations/Fundraising Campaign (presented by eTapestry): Network for Good
Nominated by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the Network for Good is the Internet's leading charitable resource. Through their e-philanthropy site, individuals can donate, volunteer and get involved with the issues they care about. In response to the challenge presented by the 2005 holiday season, Network for Good launched a coordinated, ambitious online fundraising campaign to re-energize donors and compel them to “do good, feel good.” The result: Network for Good topped the four million ($4 million) goal halfway into the campaign and ultimately generated over seven million ($7 million) in donations for over eight thousand different charities in just five weeks, a record for the organization. Six percent of donors were enrolled in monthly recurring giving, meaning Network for Good continued to experience the success of the holiday campaign with monthly gifts in the new year.
