Progress Corporation selects Skyward as Partner of the Year for 2005

Progress Software, suppliers of software to simplify and accelerate business applications, awarded its “Progress North America Partner of the Year Award” to Skyward, a developer of administrative software for K-12 school districts. Skyward was given the award for its ability to stay ahead of industry demands by using the latest Progress technology.

This award is presented to the partner that continually engages with Progress to evolve its business and adopt technologies that address the needs of its customers. Skyward offers the first integrated student and financial management system, giving administrators, educators and families the power of real-time information with a simple Point and Click (PaC(TM)).  Additionally Skyward has demonstrated the ability to continually transform its software to meet today's rapidly changing business needs, including offering a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) option for budget-challenged schools. This provides schools with the ability to 'rent' applications as needed, allowing them to direct more time and money towards their number one priority - the students.

“Skyward exemplifies the true meaning of partnership as demonstrated through technology innovation, their willingness to exchange ideas, and an increase in annual revenue,” said Doug Steve, Business Development Manager for Progress Software.

Skyward has used Progress Software to write programs that allow teachers, school administrators, and parents to quickly communicate information about students at just the click of a mouse. In fact, using Progress software, Skyward was able to create the first ever fully integrated school and business office package for the K-12 environment.

“The award is a testament to the quality of the Skyward software,” said Scott Glinski, VP of Skyward Sales and Marketing. “With Progress, we are accomplishing great things, and we are looking forward to many more great years with them.”

Skyward was chosen from over 2,000 Progress partners to win the award. “We’re honored that Progress recognized the commitment and insight that keeps Skyward at the forefront of the K-12 administrative software industry,” said Glinski.
