We are pleased to present SiteSpect in this edition of our Member Spotlight.

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT QUESTIONS

1.       In a nutshell, what is SiteSpect all about?

SiteSpect offers non-intrusive multivariate and A/B testing solutions for optimizing web sites, landing pages, and mobile web content. With SiteSpect, web marketers can test variations of any element of their site in order to increase conversions, leads, and registrations -- without making any site changes or involving IT.

2.        Why are you a MITX member?

Connecting with the local high-tech community via MITX is important to us for three reasons:

  1. It enables us to identify top technical talent.
  2. It’s a great networking venue that helps us keep in touch with our peers in the Internet arena.
  3. The terrific programming keeps us apprised of interesting developments and opportunities.

3.       How was SiteSpect founded and what inspired its creation?

Eric J. Hansen, SiteSpect’s Founder and President, previously founded web consulting firm Worldmachine Technologies where he realized that web marketers needed to be able to discover for themselves what online elements worked in meeting their website goals -- without being dependent on an IT or web development team.

4.       What makes SiteSpect different than other companies in your Marketspace?

The SiteSpect approach is unique in that no changes are made to the actual website that is being tested. Unlike the alternatives, SiteSpect does not require any changes to the HTML or programming code that drives your website. There is no need for intrusive JavaScript or page-tagging. This approach eliminates the need for ongoing IT or web design involvement before, during, and after running tests -- allowing marketers to focus on achieving their website optimization goals.

5.       What has been SiteSpect’s greatest accomplishment in 2007-2008?

Building momentum in the marketplace has been an incredible accomplishment for SiteSpect in 2007 and into 2008. Our solution is attracting marketers from the world’s most successful online businesses who are seeking a non-intrusive, self-service model of multivariate testing that works with all web analytics platforms.  Scaling the business to meet the demand from the marketplace has been a huge accomplishment; the quality of the people who work for SiteSpect is phenomenal.

6.       What is the biggest challenge you face in the marketplace today?

Like other successful companies, the challenge will always be FOCUS. There are so many possibilities of where we could take the company, from a business perspective to a product functionality standpoint. There are also so many things we could do in marketing; the number and variety of possibilities and opportunities are simply endless.  We’re always making sure we’re doing the right things for the right reasons in the right way at the right time – so far, we’ve had a great track record of doing just that.

7.       What’s next for SiteSpect?

We’re breaking into adjacent marketplaces, such as the nascent mobile web optimization arena that represents a huge opportunity in multivariate testing. SiteSpect’s Mobile Web Optimization solves the problem of device compatibility because it is the only multivariate testing and behavioral targeting platform that works with all mobile devices. We’re also expanding our direct sales team, partnering more closely with agencies, and getting very aggressive in Europe. It’s an extraordinarily exciting time for us!
