The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) has endorsed the ePhilanthropy Code of Ethical Online Philanthropic Practices and has included the code among the ethical principals and standards recommended to CASE members.  CASE is an international professional association of colleges, universities, and independent schools and the fund-raising, alumni relations, communications, and marketing professionals who serve them.

“The ePhilanthropy Code stresses clear, open communication with donors and the protection of private donor information.  Both are important to educational institutions as they ask donors to consider making their gifts on-line,” said CASE President John Lippincott. “The ePhilanthropy code will help CASE member institutions build donor relationships founded upon the trust and confidence that are so critical to educational fund-raising success.”
