In response to the need to get money for Katrina relief efforts quickly, The Cooperative Feeding Program created a personal fundraising web page at Justgiving to solicit online donations. As a result, they raised nearly $12,000 in just 6 days.

"This is our first attempt to raise money online. We would not have realized these funds so quickly if we had not used Justgiving," said Marti Forman, CEO of The Cooperative Feeding Program.

"With disasters of this magnitude, individuals react by asking 'what can I do?'. Creating personal fundraising web pages is one way that individuals can quickly and meaningfully help others affected by such disasters," said Mark Sutton, CEO of Justgiving.
