Drivers couldn’t wait to get their hands on the redesigned, next-generation Jeep® Compass, so the automaker released the model in the middle of the 2017 model year. The all-new Compass offers the versatility and dependability the model is known for while adding new looks and features. Regardless of your family transportation or work needs, the new Compass is a practical choice that can be configured to suit you.
A range of trim options
The 2017 Jeep® Compass offers a variety of trim levels and configuration packages to match each owner’s needs. The model can be ordered in one of four different trims, including the now-available Trailhawk.
The Sport version comes with all the basics, from 16-inch wheels and lower bodyside cladding to cloth bucket seats and outside temperature display. The Latitude and signature Trailhawk trims add premium interior touches, tinted glass, 17-inch wheels and Uconnect® 8.4 NAV availability. The top-of-the-line Limited trim includes the works: heated seats, heated steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror, 18-inch wheels and more.
Each trim is available in either four-wheel drive or 4x4 configuration.
Performance that won’t let you down
All four versions of the 2017 Jeep® Compass include a 2.4-liter I4 MultiAir® engine that balances strength with efficiency. The crossover manages 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque while achieving an EPA estimated fuel efficiency average of 22-23 mpg in the city and 31-32 mpg on the highway.* The engine can be equipped with optional Engine Stop Start for additional fuel-saving measures when idling. The standard transmission is a six-speed manual, but that can be upgraded to an enhanced nine-speed automatic transmission.
Tools to complete the job
Living up to its designation as a compact sport utility vehicle, the Jeep® Compass supplies drivers with a wealth of useful features for an improved experience behind the wheel. Driving is further enhanced by All-Speed Traction Control, Rain Brake Support, Electronic Roll Mitigation, Hill Start Assist and other handy features. The ParkView™ rear back-up camera, automatic headlamps and fog and cornering lamps improve visibility.
Over half a dozen different packages can be added to the Compass to provide additional features, both inside and outside. Prepare your vehicle for inclement conditions with the Cold Weather package, enhance protection with the Advance Safety & Lighting package or rig the Compass for strenuous jobs with the Trailer Tow package.
As a reliable yet affordable crossover that can function as a daily driver or a work vehicle, the 2017 Jeep® Compass delivers.
