Successful Selling in Mall Kiosks
Kiosk rents in malls today are skyrocketing in addition to the increased competition for wireless dealers. So how can you remain profitable?
Here are some suggestions that have proven to make the difference between making $ and losing money.
1. Location, Location, Location
Choose the best location that you can get in the mall. It is worth spending more money to get the prime spot, especially with the increased competition from other wireless stores and kiosks.
2. Your staff will make or break you
You must hire a sales staff that will go after the business, talk to people walking by, and be pleasantly persistent when it comes to closing sales. A sales staff that waits for customers to come to them is not going to be successful
3. Let the customer “test drive” your products
Incorporate displays that allow the customer to touch and feel the product. Incorporate secure displays where you can exhibit live phones so customers can talk live, e-mail their picture to a friend, etc. Let the customer look at the accessories so they are more likely to buy.
4. Demand outstanding customer service
The most successful wireless kiosks are ones where their staff bends over backwards for the customer. In the long run the customers will remain so loyal that they will never consider going somewhere else. With limited space and resources, you have to try harder than a fully staffed and equipped wireless store
5. Make a great first impression
Customers subconsciously decide whether they are buying from you in less than 7 seconds. Have a neat, well-lighted, well-merchandised kiosk with very visible signage. Demand that your staff is well dressed and polite with all customers. Invest in your location and it will pay you back time and time again.
