Take the hassle out of planning your next reunion and charter a windjammer that includes delicious, galley-cooked meals.

Got a large family or a group of friends who want to take a vacation together next summer? Now is the time to charter a windjammer for the 2014 season! There are many trips of all lengths available that can accommodate between 20 and 40 guests. By booking early, passengers can reserve the entire vessel to themselves, and often at great savings.

Windjammer cruises add pizzaz to family reunions.

With no set itinerary, Maine Windjammer captains ensure that every gathering is unique, letting wind and tide take them to any of the thousands of anchorages that punctuate Maine’s coast. Visits to quaint Maine villages, wildlife sanctuaries, and deserted beaches are included in every cruise, along with award-winning comfort food, hearty stews and crisp salads, fresh muffins and breads from the galley wood stove and steaming hot coffee to greet you in the morning.

David and Liz of Philadelphia talked about their family reunion aboard the Stephen Taber saying, “I had always said, ‘Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could charter the whole boat and put in all of our friends and family to go on a windjammer vacation?’ Last August, we were able to do that!”

Girlfriend getaway? Book Club Retreat? Anniversary Cruise? Whatever your reason for chartering, you'll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy quality time with your friends and family!

Eager to recommend family charters, David and Liz explain why, “To unwind! To get away from the city! To see the most spectacular night sky they could ever imagine. To enjoy the most delicious food meal after meal they could ever imagine. To get the wind in their hair. You know that when you go away for 4 days you will come back a new person. I had people on this trip who needed to get away, who absolutely needed a vacation who were at the end of their rope. They were coming back as new human beings. No stress, just relaxed – that’s the reason to go.”

With a perfect balance of time together on deck either sailing the vessel or watching the rugged coast, and time apart to explore or rest, Maine’s windjammers ensure that family reunions, destination weddings and retreats provide time to renew or forge new connections.
