Jewish Women International (JWI) is now accepting applications for presentations at the 2nd International Conference on Domestic Abuse in the Jewish Community - Pursuing Truth, Justice and Righteousness: A Call to Action on March 20-23, 2005 in Washington, DC.
The conference will build on the success of the first International Conference held in July 2003. Over 600 people are expected to attend, representing the diversity of the global Jewish community. The conference goal is to move forward a shared Jewish vision of ending domestic abuse. Domestic abuse includes intimate partner abuse (including rape), dating abuse, incest, and elder abuse by family members. Trafficking of women and children will also be addressed as a topic of importance in the Jewish community.
