Photo by Patrick Mansell Kick times for three of this season’s 12 Nittany Lion games have been announced. A pair of Big Ten Conference clashes against Iowa and Ohio State will be played in prime time, and the Nittany Lions’ 2012 Homecoming game against Northwestern will kick at noon.
Coach Bill O'Brien's Nittany Lions will visit the Hawkeyes on Oct. 20, with kick set for BTN at 8 p.m. ET in Kinnick Stadium. The teams will be playing in prime time for the third time in the past four seasons in what will be their final meeting until at least 2015.
Penn State will host border rival Ohio State on Oct. 27 for a 6 p.m. ET kick in Beaver Stadium on ESPN or ESPN2. A determination on which network will nationally televise the Big Ten Leaders Division clash may not be made until 12 days before the contests. Penn State and Ohio State will be meeting in prime time for the fourth time in the past eight seasons.
Penn State’s Homecoming clash with Northwestern is set for a noon kick on Oct. 6 in Beaver Stadium. The Big Ten Network, ESPN or ESPN2 will televise Penn State’s 93rd Homecoming contest.
Penn State owns an all-time Homecoming record of 66–21–5, with a 15–4 mark since starting Big Ten Conference competition in 1993. The Wildcats have been the Nittany Lions’ Homecoming foe just once previously, with Penn State winning the 2002 contest.
