Six local celebrities have been invited to design their dream room during an event called A Golden Evening Of Style, Color & Comfort. 

The public is invited to Golden-Fowler on Garfield in Traverse City this Friday with a reception starting at 5:30.  The rooms from all contestants will be on display and a public vote, with a $1 donation to Child and Family Services, will take place at that time.

In addition to Bill Marsh Jr., other contestants include Ron Jolly, WTCM radio, Traverse City mayor Mike Estes, Terri Ray of WKLT radio, Raj Weiner of the Traverse City North Stars and a mystery celebrity who will be announced at the reception.

Cost of the reception is $25 per person or $40 per couple.
