I have been driving the all-new 911 over the past week. I continue to be amazed at how much the 991 series has improved over the previous 997 series. One drive and you will agree that this a bigger jump than the 996 to 997 series back in 2005. Everything, and I mean everything, has improved. The interior is the new benchmark in sports cars. The exhaust note is mesmerizing. The available Burmester sound system is simply amazing. But where the new 911 really shines is behind the wheel on a twisty road!
When you first fire up the 991, you instantly know it is something special. Driving dynamics in normal settings provides a much better ride, tire noise has been removed, and the cabin is quiet and comfortable. Turn on sport plus, sport exhaust, and utilize the PDK transmission and you are now grinning ear to ear while experiencing extreme performance! The exhaust sings the song of performance as you press instantly back in the seat with amazing acceleration. This 911 rockets 0-60 in just 3.6 seconds and reaches the quarter mile in only 10.8 seconds. These are super car numbers! Turn off the Sport settings and enjoy a quiet, smooth, and comfortable commute to work.
Prepare to be blown away when you test drive one of our 991 demos equipped with snow tires! Mark Barnett (Sales Manager) and I took the 991 out Saturday after a record snow storm to see how the rear wheel drive and rear engine 911 performed. All I can say is... holy cow! This car blasted through 6" of fresh snow! This car is so technically advanced, the traction control keeps it stuck to the ground via the snow tires. The only limitation is ground clearance, NOT traction! The all new 911 is truly a daily driver with super-car performance - even in the snow!
